Philippine Airlines to split widebody order between Boeing and Airbus

Philippine Airlines is preparing for a major widebody aircraft order, selecting both leading aircraft manufacturers for deliveries.
According to industry sources, the Philippine carrier intends to order 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft and 9 Airbus A350-1000 jets. This order is part of PAL's long-term fleet development strategy.
Official announcement of the contract is expected during the Farnborough International air show.
